Sustainability
We believe in looking after our planet, and ensure the strictest Earth-driven policies are enforced during our processes. By designing with longevity, respect for natural resources, and giving back to communities, we strive for empowering people to make better choices towards a more equal and prospering world.
Materials
Our pieces are crafted from 100% recycled gold and sterling silver, that can be traced back to the foundry in Spain. Recycling metal alloys is a centenary tradition in West Africa, allowing for the reuse of resources and keeping the goldsmith's craft alive. Our use of recycled alloys is mindful of our planet, but also a nod to legacy and tradition.
Gemstones
We are working in partnership with Botswanamark™ diamonds. Our diamonds are responsibly and ethically sourced from mines in Botswana, through a transparent and traceable process. Each stone is laser-inscribed with a unique Provenance ID and is GIA-certified. Debswana Diamond Company mines follow the best international environmental management practice and each of their major operations in Botswana has been awarded ISO14001 certification. The company employs environment-first practices such as wildlife conservation through sanctuaries, and minimal-impact wood burning stoves to reach carbon neutrality
Footprint
Each piece from our collections is handcrafted locally in London by highly skilled and experienced craftsmen and women, ensuring uncompromising quality, contribution towards our local economy, and minimal geographical footprint.
Packaging
Our packaging is locally made in London, using 100% recycled paper and natural resin.
Social causes
We are keen to use our position to empower communities. AYMER MARIA is proud to be working with the UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency – a global organisation dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. We support the UNHCR with educating displaced children, supporting university education, as fostering craftsmen and women in their craft.
